Have fun and explore 'The Art of Preparing Espresso Coffee'. A hands on full- day course designed for those who wish to become a Barista, making Coffee in a commercial environment.

COURSE DURATION

This one full day course is presented by Bill Shirley who is an experienced working Barista who brings to the course up to date trends in modern coffee making techniques.

The day is all about developing consistency, speed and accuracy so the students leave with the industry standard that our customers demand.

ACTIVITIES & COURSE TOPICS

We include:

  • Preparing and understanding all equipment (coffee machines, grinders)
  • Preparing the full range of espresso coffees
  • Milk texturing techniques that help both amateur and experienced baristas
  • Workflow for multiple orders, mixing it up and having a few challengers
  • Plenty of time to practice your new found skills so you get it right every time
  • How to maintain the machine and the grinder and what to look for so the quality of your coffees don’t falter
  • Ongoing cleaning 
  • Safety tips to ensure there are no accidents in your workplace
  • Some coffee art that is easy and quick to do that doesn’t slow the flow of service
