PREVOCATIONAL COURSES


Want to get a head start in getting a job?
Pre-vocational courses are designed to introduce the participant to the hospitality industry.

 
WHAT IS A PREVOCATIONAL COURSE?

This means participants are taught skills and gain Nationally Accredited recognition in modules that will enable them to be considered as preferred candidates when applying for positions.

The Commercial Cookery course aims to develop basic kitchen and cookery skills, to assist in gaining employment as a kitchen hand or cook.


The programme is targeted towards achieving a employment outcome for each participant. Restaurant & Catering NSW will canvas our membership for positions and support.

These courses are funded by Department of Education and Training (DET). Evidence of competence in the modules of study is required for all participants.
 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Designed for people who are keen to work in the hospitality industry and

  • Those applying for hospitality positions.

  • Wanting to leave school

  • Gain a traineeship/ apprenticeship

  • Unemployed

  • Returning to the workforce

  • Considering a career change

Establishments like Restaurants, Hotels, Clubs ,Aged  Care Centres, Hospitals, Resorts, Institutions, Retail food shops offer a multitude of positions. 
 
COST
These courses may be eligible job seekers.
