U in CAFES


WHAT IS U IN CAFES?

Are you returning to the workforce?

This short training course aims to increase the skills of parents, and long term job seekers to enable them to take up employment in cafés, bistros. clubs, restaurants Motivated job seekers will be trained in practical skills, and assisted by active mentoring and support. Class learning will be enhanced with a 2 day practical work experience component.

Participants are taught basic entry level skills and gain recognition in modules that will enable them to be considered by employers as preferred candidates when applying for positions.


Restaurant & Catering NSW will canvas our membership for support and positions, to assist in achieving a employment outcome for each participant. R&C NSW will also liaise with employment service providers (Job Network Members, Transition to Work members ,Indigenous Employment Agencies, Job placement organisations etc) to refer suitable job seekers, and placement opportunities.

These courses are funded by job network agencies for their eligible clients. Students are required to attend an information session prior to enrolment.
 

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

Designed for parents  who are looking to return to the workforce and are actively applying for positions in cafés, bistros, clubs, restaurants etc as foodservice personnel, waiters, sandwich hands, baristas.
