- The above dates are in accordance with the provisions of the ACT
Holidays Act 1958.
- Where a public holiday falls due on a weekend the Holidays Act 1958
may prescribe a following weekday as a public holiday in lieu of
the actual weekend day. Where this occurs, and the public holiday in
lieu is marked " * ", the actual day, eg Australia
Day, is not a public holiday.
- The ACT Holidays Act 1958 also
provides for a bank holiday on the first Monday in August.
