John K Walker Hall of Fame

The John K Walker Hall Of Fame has been founded to acknowledge and reward the contribution by an individual to the Restaurant and Catering Industry in NSW. Furthermore, this award recognises within the industry a defined group of role models and mentors that may be called upon by the industry as representatives of enduring excellence.

To be eligible for membership the individual candidate can be sought from all disciplines within the industry: for example a chef, restaurateur, a teacher, a maitre d’ or a producer or supplier.

The individual must demonstrate a number of key measurable performance criteria and personal qualities:

  1. At least 20 years in a professional capacity within the industry
  2. A unique and definitive contributor to the industry
  3. Recognised as a leader within their field
  4. Participation as an active and upstanding citizen of the community

A requirement of each nomination is to be seconded by an upstanding member of the community or same within the industry and should be accompanied by a reference.

A panel consisting of the Food Media, members of the Hall of Fame and the Association will determine the new inductee (s) to the John K Walker Hall Of Fame.
